Private Insomnia Clinic

Compassionate, evidence-based support for chronic insomnia.

If you've tried everything to sleep better and nothing seems to work, you're not alone.

Many of the people I work with have struggled with insomnia for decades. They've tried medications, CBT-I, sleep hygiene, supplements, meditation, apps and countless techniques, yet still find themselves lying awake at night worrying about not sleeping.

The good news is that recovery is possible. For over 20 years, I've helped thousands of people rebuild their confidence in sleep using a gentle, evidence-based approach that reduces struggle rather than adding to it.

  • A detailed email summary of everything we discussed.

  • Clear, personalised recommendations and next steps.

  • Practical exercises to begin using straight away.

Common Reasons People Book

Every person's insomnia story is different, but common topics include:

Reducing sleep anxiety - Learning how to reduce fear, anxiety, panic and hyperarousal during the night and throughout the day.

Coming off sleeping medication - Building confidence to reduce or stop medication safely, at the right time and alongside your GP or prescribing clinician where appropriate.

Breaking the fear of not sleeping - Learning why the fear itself often becomes the biggest obstacle and how to gently let go of it.

Recovering after months or years of insomnia - Understanding why insomnia persists and how to begin rebuilding trust in your own ability to sleep.

Relapse after sleeping well - Learning how to respond skilfully to setbacks without allowing them to become another prolonged struggle.

Stress, anxiety and overthinking - Developing practical ways to respond more flexibly to racing thoughts, difficult emotions and life's inevitable pressures.

Sleeping while travelling - Managing holidays, jet lag, shift work and changes to routine with greater confidence.

Sleeping naturally again - Reducing dependence on rituals, checking, tracking, supplements and behaviours that unintentionally keep insomnia alive.

A Different Approach

Many people come to me after trying traditional CBT for insomnia.

While CBT-I has helped many people, some find parts of it difficult to follow or simply don't feel it fits their life.

My approach is different.

Rather than asking you to fight your wakefulness or follow rigid rules, we'll work together to reduce the struggle that keeps insomnia going.

That means I won't ask you to:

  • Restrict your sleep

  • Get out of bed every time you're awake

  • Follow strict rules such as ‘the bedroom is only for sleep and sex!’

  • Endlessly diarise your sleep

  • Ban napping or reading in bed

Instead, you'll learn how to respond differently to sleeplessness so your brain gradually rediscovers sleep naturally. It's a compassionate, flexible approach grounded in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and supported by evidence based sleep science.
